14 deadly sins
today i learned that, as a Catholic, I now have a total of 14 deadly sins to watch out for.

A Vatican official has articulated seven new categories of sin “due to the phenomenon of globalization.”
1. “Bioethical” violations such as birth control
2. “Morally dubious” experiments such as stem cell research
3. Drug abuse
4. Polluting the environment
5. Contributing to widening divide between rich and poor
6. Excessive wealth
7. Creating poverty
wow. that’s specific! I guess all things need updating as technology and socitey change; i thought something were set in stone or just forever unchangeable. to the Church’s credit, a rep said that the updating was to remind priests who were not attuned to the evils of the world. fair!
